The owners of three winning lottery tickets bought in County Durham are being sought urgently.
Three identical Set For Life prizes, worth £10,000 a month for one year and bought in County Durham for the same draw, are still yet to be claimed. The National Lottery is continuing its search as the first and crucial 30-day deadline fast approaches for anyone who is not in physical possession of their Set For Life ticket from the draw on Monday, January 9, 2023.
Under its licence, Camelot has the discretion to pay prizes in respect of lost, destroyed or stolen National Lottery tickets only if the player has submitted a claim in writing within 30 days of the relevant draw. If the player can provide sufficient evidence, Camelot will investigate and consider the validity of the claim. Camelot will then determine at its discretion whether the claim is valid and is able to pay the prize 180 days after the draw.

The all-important winning numbers in the Set For Life draw on January 9, 2023, were 7, 16, 24, 29, 31 and the Life Ball was 3, with the missing ticket-holder or ticket-holders matching the five main numbers. The lucky winner or winners has/have until 5pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, to contact Camelot in writing if they can’t find their ticket or tickets but think these were their lucky Set For Life numbers. The deadline to claim WITH the winning ticket or tickets is July 8, 2023.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: "Wednesday 8 February at 5pm is a key milestone for these three incredible Set For Life unclaimed prizes. Although there are 180 days for any National Lottery winner to come forward with their winning ticket, during the first 30 days after the draw it’s still possible to make a claim in writing to Camelot if the ticket has been lost, destroyed or even eaten by the dog!
"There’s no need to panic if you haven’t got your ticket to hand, but you need to act fast and write to us before this Wednesday."
Andy continued: "Whether these three prizes are one lucky ticket-holder who, for whatever reason, has played the same winning numbers three times or more than one ticket-holder who have happened to have played the same numbers in the same draw, it’s a total of three prizes worth £10,000 a month for one year waiting to be claimed.
"When this lucky winner or winners do/does come forward to claim their prize or prizes we’re ready – we have the champagne on ice and our player services team are on standby. They have great expertise in helping winners embrace life-changing wins and making sure that they are able to start to enjoy their new found wealth as quickly as possible. They will be on hand every step of the way to guide the winner through the winning experience."
With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket. Anyone who has any queries or who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email help@national-lottery.co.uk
Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. Players can also buy and check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.
If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline (July 8, 2023), then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
