A bunch of city centre restaurants closed unexpectedly in Cork due to "unforeseen maintenance issues" leaving hungry punters scratching their heads.
Captain America's, Rice, and the Queen of Rebels bar on South Main St, Cork City, shut with a sign left at the door to inform customers.
It read: "Due to unforeseen maintenance issues, Captain America's, Rice, and Queen of Rebels are closed.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
There has been no movement seen in any of the venues since they closed, Cork Beo reports.
The businesses are all part of the Press Up Group umbrella, and the building also includes Wow Burger which wasn't mentioned on the sign outside but was also closed at the time of writing.
According to the Wowburger website they will remain shut until August 15th while Captain America's site says it'll be the 18th when it comes back.
The Press Up Group owns a number of hugely popular restaurants in Dublin and is also over The Dean Hotel chain.
Famous haunts such as Mary's off Grafton St, The Workmans Club, and Vintage Cocktail Club are all owned by them
They're also over the Elephant and Castle restaurants and a number of other hotels including The Mayson and The Devlin.
Press Up Hospitality has been contacted for comment.
