Murrayshall Country Estate in Perthshire announces revised plans for new £30 million expansion

Murrayshall Country Estate in Perthshire has announced revised plans for a new £30 million investment.

The resort aims to diversify its facilities, and the announcement marks the start of a formal consultation programme on the proposals.

Plans include an extension to the hotel, new lodges within the estate, a café, spa and leisure facilities, formation of camping grounds including glamping pods, outdoor pursuits and sports grounds.

The hotel has submitted a Proposal of Application Notice (PoAN) for each forthcoming planning application to Perth and Kinross Council, commencing the statutory 12-week pre-application consultation period.

A public consultation event will be held at Murrayshall on December 12 from 1pm to 7pm, with a further event taking place on January 31, 2023.

Representatives from the project team will be available to answer questions from members of the public and more importantly, receive feedback on the proposals.

Gary Silcock, general manager for Murrayshall Country Estate, said: “We are delighted to announce a new masterplan for Murrayshall Country Estate.

“Further to our previous application, we have listened to the local community and reconsidered our aspirations for the future of the estate.

“This new masterplan would generate substantial benefits for the local economy, and would provide a sustainable future for the Estate, ensuring its resiliency for decades to come.

“We would encourage anyone with an interest in the proposals to view our project website and to attend our consultation events.”

Murrayshall recently received planning permission to sensitively relocate its driving range, making it better-connected and closer to the existing hotel infrastructure, thereby providing an improved customer experience.

The associated expansion of the facility will create new jobs, primarily through the addition of a Golf Academy and will benefit members, visitors and the local community by delivering an enhanced golf experience.

More information on the proposals can be found via the project website accessible at www.murrayshallmasterplan.consultationonline.co.uk
