KOLKATA: In a joint raid by Mumbai and central division of Kolkata Police, that lasted for over 24 hours, one Rashid Sakil (52) from Thane, accused of robbing and trespassing the chamber of a woman doctor and injuring her, has been arrested on Sunday.
“He was picked up late at night from Gulsan Hotel on Collin Street,” said police. The accused had stabbed the victim while she was collecting swab for an RT-PCR test and looted ornaments (worth Rs 88,000), Rs 5,000 cash and a mobile in January.
