A mum who lives with her two children and four dogs has been left 'scared' after her home went up in flames. It has been claimed the fire was the result of arson and an investigation is now underway.
Firefighters were called out to an incident in Hornbeam Gardens, Bulwell, at around 11.53am on Saturday, April 23. A house was ablaze, the flames having spread from the garden.
Eyewitnesses in the area at the time claim a bin had been set alight and placed up against the garden fence. The house was severely damaged as it spread.

Shelayne Upton, who has lived in the Nottingham City Homes property for the past 16 years, says she was fortunately out at the time. She lives in the house with her two children, 16 and 19, and four dogs.
She claimed the fire had been the result of arson and Nottinghamshire Live has seen a police incident report confirming the force's involvement. "It was in October I got robbed," she said.
"I was scared to even leave the house. Now this has happened. It has scared me. That's why I had all the cameras up. Hopefully [the police] find something on the tapes."
She is now having to stay at a friend's house because the property has been left severely damaged. Windows have been blown out and the frames melted, while the garden has been completely destroyed by fire. The garden is filled with blackened remains.
A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed an investigation is yet to take place. She said: "We were called to a fence fire which had spread to the house.
"We will be going back later on for a reinspection. We did request for the police to attend.
"Crews from Stockhill and Arnold were in attendance."
Nottinghamshire Police was contacted for comment.
