Mum in awe of 'monster' six-inch crisp that's biggest she's ever seen before

A mum was stunned as she found a whopping six-inch long monster crisp but was left fuming after her hubby came along and ate it up. Jemma Carter from Surrey was getting through a packet of Walkers Roast Chicken flavoured crisps when she hit a snag and could not get one of the crisps out of the packet.

When she shook the packet to set it free, she realised that one of the crisps was huge and six inches long, taking up the whole of her hand.

She said: "It's the biggest crisp I've ever seen. When I saw it I just thought 'this is absolutely massive, no-one will believe it's so big'. I'd never seen one that big before."

She was eating the crisps while watching TV with her children and both Tayla-Rae Carter, 10, and seven-year-old Robbie Carter were amazed to see the giant crisp fall out the packet.

The mum said: "My eldest son Robbie said to me 'wow I think you've got a world record, you're going to get thousands of pounds for that'. I shook it a bit to get it out and I was thinking 'oh my god, what is this?' It was bigger than my hand.

"It just made me laugh. I thought 'I need to take a picture of this to send to my husband'."

However, when her husband returned home to find the family gathering around the crisp, he took matters into his own hands.

"He just said 'that's absolutely massive'. When Dan arrived home, Robbie was showing it to him," the mum explained.

"Dan was like 'oh let me have a look at that' and he just ate it and said 'yeah tastes nice' and I said 'well that's the end of that'.

"That one crisp pretty much took up half the pack, there were only a few more crisps in there. I opened another bag of crisps, but I went for salt and vinegar instead."

The mum-of-two explained that all her family love crisps and is hopeful to find another whopper in another packet soon.

"I'm holding out for another whopper, but this time I'm going to keep quiet about it. Although that one didn't fit in the dip pot it would have been great in a sandwich," she said.
