Drivers have been stuck for hours on the A1(M) and M1 near Leeds after a huge crash that has left the roads closed.
Traffic has been at a standstill between J42 and 44 on the A1(M) and back to J46 on the M1 where it joins the A1(M) at J48.
This is after a car driving the wrong way down the Northbound carriageway of the A1(M) crashed head on into a van.

Mum Amy Hoskin and her kids were driving back from Wales up the M1 when they got caught up in the accident - they've now been stuck about 500m before the road merges with the A1(M) for over two hours.
Amy told LeedsLive: "We first stopped at 3.10pm, turned the car engine off a few minutes later! Luckily we have a box of food left over from our Christmas holiday so plenty of snacks.
"We watched the emergency vehicles go down the hard shoulder, so many that we lost count. People are getting out of their cars now and chatting to each other.
"We must have got here right as it happened because we watched the traffic back up on the A1M while we were already stopped.
"We were on our way back from Wales, only 15 minutes from home!"
West Yorkshire Police confirmed one person had been taken to hospital by an air ambulance after the Volkswagen Polo driving the wrong way hit a Vauxhall van.

"We saw the air ambulance fly over us from the south, it circled around and then landed although we couldn’t see where it landed. It was down for quite some time, long enough for it to go dark by the time it took off," said Amy.
"From where I can see the A1M queue, more and more of the cars have turned their engines off. Hardly any rear lights showing now.
"The kids say they are tired and bored and ready to go home now."
Amy and her kids are currently still stuck.
Another driver, who wished to remain anonymous, got stuck at a standstill on the M1 Northbound between Junctions 46 and 47 for two hours.
Two lanes had been closed from Colton (J46) onwards.
The driver also said they'd seen three police cars, two police vans and one traffic control car go past in the hard shoulder.
They have just been filtered off at the Garforth junction (J47), after Highways Yorkshire got to them in its efforts to clear traffic.
National Highways Yorkshire confirmed they were making progress on turning queuing traffic around, but said it could take 'some time'.
