Miranda Hart got a fright recently when she woke up to find a fox standing over her in the night.
The actor and comedian took to Twitter on Wednesday (12 August) to tell her followers about the encounter, writing: “I slept on the kitchen floor (my bedroom is a very HOT room – not in a good way). I had the doors to the garden open.
“At one point before dawn, this happened – I WOKE UP TO FIND MYSELF FACE TO FACE WITH A FOX...”
Many of Hart’s followers commented on what a classic Miranda moment it was, referencing the clumsy and socially awkward character she played in her sitcom, which ran from 2009 to 2015 on the BBC.
“Miranda would run away through the house, open the front door and be confronted with the milkman in her bra,” wrote one Twitter user.
Hart lives in west London, and the encounter with the fox came during one of the most severe UK heatwaves on record, with temperatures exceeding 34C for the sixth day in a row for the first time since 1961.
