The latest update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, version 1.1.10.0, is out now following a troubled launch.

This is the first of two updates coming this week that are designed to address a myriad of issues that have been plaguing the game. The second update is set to be a much bigger release and will work on many more issues.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Update

Version 1.1.10.0 fixes some stability and performance issues in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and will fix broken jetways.

The update also works to fix several aircraft and introduces new tags in the MyLibrary to indicate whether or not a product has not yet been verified by the creator to work with the game.

Similar to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, the latest game encourages players to rename or move their "Community Folder" packages before updating. After doing this, they can put them back where they were before, according to FSELite.

There is a developer Q&A session that is scheduled to go live on Dec. 4, 2024, where Microsoft and Asobo will discuss the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. They are also expected to talk about what future updates for the game will look like.

The latest update comes as players complained of crashes that were caused by specific scenarios, such as when they navigate quickly between challenges. This could also happen when adjusting Tobii Eye Tracker settings.

The latest patch also introduced fixes to the unloading and reloading of WASM gauges and made improvements to Steam account linking. The new update focuses on stability and bug fixes ahead of other updates, MSFAddONs said.

Addressing Various Issues

Many fans of the game were left disappointed by the myriad of bugs that were in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 when it launched. A lot of people complained that they were stuck in the installation process while others saw a lot of missing stuff in the game.

The situation resulted in the game getting an immediate Overwhelming Negative review rating on Steam due to the number of issues it had. Asobo later apologized to fans and immediately worked on trying to address the problems.

Since then, Steam rating for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 rose to Mixed but the game would forever be labeled as Xbox Game Studios' worst-reviewed game on Valve's gaming platform.

The studio just announced that all of the launch issues have already been addressed with various updates, according to The Gamer.
