Twelve London restaurants were newly awarded a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide this year, including Claude Bosi’s Josephine Bouchon and the ever-popular Morchella in Clerkenwell.
Thirty-six restaurants across the country were given the accolade, which was launched in 1997 to recognise restaurants outside the fine dining bracket but which still offer excellent food and service.
In 2019, Bib Gourmands were specified as venues that served three courses for £30 or less, but there is now no set formula, according to Michelin. Instead, the basis of the awards is “good quality, good value cooking”.

Michelin announced its latest round of Bib Gourmands at its ceremony in Glasgow this year, where in the past they were handed out a week or so ahead of new stars.
Other London restaurants included in 2025 include Kolae, the new Thai restaurant from the team behind Som Saa, Mambow, chef Abby Lee’s wildly popular Malaysian restaurant in Hackney, and the family run Korean venture Miga, which earned instant praise after launching last summer.
