AS a Conservative minister, Michael Gove clearly has a fondness for making cuts. But it’s “serious shapes” that he was seen cutting over the weekend, as he was spotted on the dancefloor at a Scottish nightclub – again.
Late last summer, the Levelling Up Secretary – at the time serving as the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster under prime minister Boris Johnson – was spotted raving at Bohemia.
The club, which is in the upstairs bit of the city-centre Irish pub O'Neills, hit the headlines after Gove was seen dancing the night away in the venue.
Now, another Aberdeen club can add Gove to their list of famous visitors.
This time, it was Club Tropicana, which plays retro 80s tunes for nighttime revellers.
Writing on Facebook on Monday, the club said: “Another HUGE weekend at Club T. We even had Michael Gove in cutting some serious shapes.”
It shared an image of the Tory minister alongside someone who looks to be security.
Local councillor Deena Tiserra said: "It's always good to see a UK Government minister helping the economy of Aberdeen by enjoying the city's nightlife.
"It's interesting Mr Gove chose to dance the night away in Club Tropicana – which specialises in 80s music – given he is doing his level best to return the UK economy back to the 80s where interest rates, inflation and unemployment were at record high levels.
"At least Mr Gove can afford a night out amid the current cost of living crisis."
