The Met Offices says that further snowfall has the potential to cause disruption. The forecaster warns that there are ‘possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers’. They warned buses and train services may be delayed or cancelled, with some road closures and longer journey times possible.
“A chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces. There is a small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.”
The latest warnings come after much disruption across Nottinghamshire on Thursday. Buses have been diverted and flights at East Midlands Airport were temporarily halted so the runway could be cleared.
