A new yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office today, as icy conditions prove to be hazardous for motorists and pedestrians alike.
Forecasters issued the warning at 9.30am this morning, as it is to remain in place from 9:30am today until 10am tomorrow morning (March 11).
The Met Office noted that while the snow will clear in the next few hours, lying snow and ice is likely to be a continuous hazard through the rest of the day.

Temperatures will drop below freezing in the afternoon, leading to untreated surfaces left wet by snow melt - creating icy conditions.
The ice warning will affect surrounding areas of Edinburgh, with the snow and ice alert coming into affect in the capital from Saturday onwards.

A brand new weather alert has been issued for ice at 9.30am this morning.
The warning will remain in place from now until 10am on Saturday morning.
Forecasters have said: "Ice is likely to be a hazard where snow has fallen overnight."

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday
Less cold with showers then rain on Sunday, this turning to snow over higher ground before clearing away south on Monday. Colder and brighter with wintry showers on Tuesday.
