We have seen an ease to wintry weather over the weekend, but a return to colder conditions across the UK is likely at the start of this week, according to the Met Office.
There will be a yellow weather warning in place between 5pm on Monday, March 13, to 10am on Tuesday, March 14. The warning reads: "Rain, sleet and snow followed by ice likely to cause some impacts to travel."
The yellow weather warning covers parts of north and mid Wales, including Wrexham, Caernarfon, Bangor, Machynlleth, Welshpool and Newtown (Powys). You can read more about the weather warning for snow and ice here.

Temperatures will drop below freezing in parts of Wales on Tuesday, including Powys, Merthyr Tydfil and Blaenau Gwent. From Wednesday, the Met Office forecasts wet and windy conditions throughout Wales, with heavy rain in the evening through to Thursday. Weather conditions look to be more settled on Friday, with sunny intervals and light rain forecast through to Saturday.
Met office forecast for Monday: "Often wet with periods of rain, heaviest and most persistent in the west. Some hill snow may develop in the north later in the evening. Windy with coastal gales possible. Maximum temperature 11 °C."
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday: "Colder on Tuesday with sunny spells and occasional wintry showers. Bright start on Wednesday, but unsettled thereafter with rain, perhaps preceded by snow in places. Windy at times."
UK long range weather forecast from Thursday, March 16 to Saturday, March 25: "Thursday is expected to be generally unsettled with a north/south split developing. Wet and possibly windy conditions are more likely in the south and southwest, perhaps improving through the day, while snow is possible to the north, particularly over higher ground of Scotland. Staying changeable into the weekend with a mixture of periods of wind and rain, and more settled, possibly colder spells, with further snow possible mainly over high ground in the north.
"This theme is likely to continue through into late March, with the potential for many areas to be wetter than average. However, there are indications of drier conditions towards the end of the month. Temperatures will trend towards average for most, although with a chance of a lingering cold spell in the north."
Sunday, March 26 to Sunday, April 9: "Confidence remains fairly low during this period. However, there are signs of more settled, drier conditions becoming established over the UK. Temperatures expected to be cooler than average with the greatest chance of significant rainfall and milder conditions in the south. Any wintry hazards are likely to be short-lived given the time of year. Temperatures are expected to trend closer to average as we move towards mid-April."
