Ireland will enjoy a few more days of sunshine and warm temperatures as the mini-heatwave is set to continue into next week.
The mercury will stay in the high teens during the daytime but the nighttime will bring dramatic temperature swings with the mercury plummeting to as low as freezing.
Today will start off dry with long, hazy spells of sunshine. There will be well-scattered showers as the day progresses with some coastal fog expected in some parts.

Temperatures will range from 13 to 17 or 18 degrees. It will be warmest in the sunshine across the midlands, west and northwest.
Tonight will be dry with isolated showers and light southerly breezes. It will be clear at first but will become cloudier overnight with low cloud and possible mist or fog spreading from the southwest.
Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees.

Tomorrow
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Tomorrow, Thursday, will be a cloudier day across Connacht, Ulster and western Munster with some drizzle possible at times.
"Dry elsewhere with good sunshine and just light southerly breezes. Just the chance of some coastal fog.
"Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, warmest in the east and a little cooler in cloudier conditions on Atlantic fringes.
Tomorrow night
"Mostly clear across the east and south, with low cloud and possibly some fog in western and northern counties. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees with a grass frost possible in parts where it remains clear.
Friday
"A mainly dry and sunny day. A little cloudier near northern coasts with the chance of the odd shower breaking out there. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, warmest in land with sea breezes developing.
Friday night
"Remaining dry and clear for most areas however some fog patches may form in light easterly breezes. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees.
Saturday
"Dry with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees, slightly cooler along northern and eastern coasts.
"Little change overnight, but turning cold again overnight with a touch of grass frost possible. Some fog may also set in.
Sunday
"Dry with good sunshine and a light northeast breeze. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 or 17 degrees.
Further Outlook
"A good deal of dry weather is also signalled for Monday and Tuesday, however temperatures will fall back to average. Some rain is likely to return from around midweek onwards."
