Martin Lewis has shared how a simple bank trick can help you get paid the next time that you are at any supermarket including Asda, Tesco and Morrisons.
The money-saving guru took to his ITV1 Martin Lewis Money Show Live TV on Tuesday to share how shoppers can take advantage of the offer through Santander Bank.
In the show, the Money Saving Expert explained that shoppers can earn money on their supermarket shopping, including on petrol and monthly bills, by switching to a new Santander account.
Anyone not currently with Santander can switch to the Santander Edge 2023 account for free, which is the best free bank switch available right now.
It will cost a monthly fee of £3 with a minimum pay-in of £1,000 a month and will give 1% cashback on most bills up to a maximum of £10 per month. It will also provide 1% cashback on food shopping, fuel and travel, up to a maximum of £10 a month.
He said that on typical bills, it will give you £70 to £100 per year cashback after the fee is taken out.
Additionally, anyone who makes the switch will be paid £200 and get access to a 4% easy-access savings account that's linked to the Edge account, up to a maximum balance of £4,000.
Martin said: "It's pretty good with the £200 and the cashback.
"What's interesting here is normally we see a price war between the banks fighting to legally bribe you to come and be a customer.
"That hasn't happened this year. The only alternative is First Direct, £175 free, top service in most polls done on this and it give you a £250 0% overdraft."
