Marnie Simpson gives sassy response to Bake Off star slamming her weight loss programme

Great British Bake Off star Laura Adlington questioned Marnie Simpson's timing for sharing her weight loss programme.

On Boxing Day, the former Geordie Shore icon took to Instagram to share a link to her programme, which she says helped her lose 2.5 stone in four months.

In the clip, she wore a gold sports bra with gold leggings as she explained how she 'got back to feeling like the old Marnie'.

"You’ve ALL been asking - so here IT IS!!!" she captioned the video. "So many of you have asked me how I’ve lost all this weight - 2 and a half Stone in 4 months! How mad?!

"And you wanted me to share HOW I’ve done it. Well I knew there’s no way that I could be jumping around pretending to be a personal trainer - because I’m not!!

"But you all wanted to know who I’d followed and got help from to do this sooo I’ve been scrabbling around trying to get it done for you in time for the New Year."

Marnie continued: "So what I’ve done is I’m going to share all the videos that my PT Lisa sent to me PLUS the diet plans I followed from this amazing dietician.

"We’ve chucked it all on to a website for you to follow ar home - just like I did. And that’s how I do it now. I’ve called it Motiv8 - Marnie’s Motiv8 cos each routine is 8 minutes - repeated - so 16 in total. And trust me if you do that every day you will get AMAZING results. Lisa Is brilliant you’ll love her. And the diet is dead easy to follow. So just click the link in my bio or go to the website - www.marniesmotiv8.com".

Many of her friends, including Holly Hagan, Olivia Bowen and Chloe Ferry, congratulated and praised her for her weight loss and her programme.

However, Bake Off star Laura was less than impressed with the timing of it.

Taking to the comment section, she wrote: "I can’t help but question why you’ve chosen to launch this on Boxing Day.

"It feels wrong to me, to profit off of people’s insecurities when they haven’t even digested their Turkey."

Marnie took notice of the comment and defended herself by claiming she was simply trying to 'motivate' people.

"I’ve launched it on Boxing Day to motiv8 people hun maybe take your negative comments off my page, this is good vibe zone area ONLY!" she said.

"And I don’t want you trying to bring it down with your paranoia & Conspiracy theories."

Laura responded: "Good vibes would be not cashing in people’s insecurities, babes," and added a wink emoji.
