Ellen DeGeneres has offered fans a rare peek into her new, quieter lifestyle in the UK, following her departure from Hollywood.
The comedian, who stepped back from the spotlight after ending her long-running talk show in 2022, posted a peaceful countryside moment on Instagram this week.
The photo showed her wife, actress Portia de Rossi, 52, capturing a rainbow on camera.
“3 things that make me happy: My Wife A Rainbow And my wife taking a photograph of a Rainbow,” DeGeneres, 67, wrote to her 136 million followers.
While the TV star occasionally promotes her skincare line, Kind Science, on social media, most recently sharing an ad for a new hydration cream, she’s been largely absent from her own posts.
The last time she appeared in an update was in March while on safari with her other half, celebrating 20 years together.

Although, she has shared several updates since moving to the UK, and recently revealed they had inherited a number of chickens.
Posting a clip to Instagram earlier this month, she penned: “We got more chickens! They’re still a bit “chicken” but they’re warming up to their new home. We still have our chickens in the states, and their chickensitter is taking very good care of them.
“They’re very excited to have chicken cousins. I’ll keep you updated with progress.”
The couple have kept a relatively low profile since relocating to the Cotswolds, far from the glitz of Montecito, California, where they previously lived among A-list neighbours following Donald Trump’s election victory in November.
However the former daytime TV presenter’s move to the country hasn’t been without it’s challenges.
In February, DeGeneres was reportedly at loggerheads with her neighbours over an extension to her £15m Cotswolds home.
But despite embracing local life, including visits to Jeremy Clarkson’s pub, her transition hasn’t been entirely smooth.
According to MailOnline, DeGeneres, 67, has been accused of increasing flood risk and disturbing Roman ruins with modifications to her property.
She is said to have committed a “technical breach” by adding a single-storey extension to the farmhouse, prompting objections from the local parish council.
“The onus is on the owner to report any historic remains uncovered,” council documents read.
“Concern was expressed by residents that the hedge and wire fence could increase flood risk in the village' if rubbish was swept down and 'caught on the fence', thereby 'limiting flow across the field'.”
However, a spokesperson representing DeGeneres told the Mail that the works were completed to a “high standard” and are more than 200 yards from the Roman remains.
David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Taylor Swift, Patrick Stewart, Elizabeth Hurley, and Damien Hirst also live nearby making it an A list part of the world.
