Manchester City is looking to fill a range of job roles in Greater Manchester. The football club currently has several vacancies across different sectors, with opportunities available in marketing, IT, and coaching – including with the City Women’s First Team.
Pep Guardiola’s side are still firmly in the title race, currently eight points behind leaders Arsenal with a game in hand. But football aside, City is looking to boost its workforce off the pitch as City Football Group has posted several job vacancies to its website.

Community Coach – Primary Schools
Manchester City is hiring a Community Coach to work as part of its City in the Community (CITC) foundation, helping to deliver the Premier League Primary Stars (PLPS) programme within primary schools and SEND schools across Greater Manchester.
Duties within this role include:
- Delivering the PLPS programme with a focus on increasing pupils and teachers’ confidence and competence across the topics delivered.
- Working in partnership with the School Sports Officer to support the planning and delivery of a high-quality programme ensuring it provides a fun, structured, enjoyable and safe environment.
- Being accountable for progress and reporting on set KPIs and outcomes associated with the PLPS programme to develop, maintain and grow a strong working relationship with partner schools.
- Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all teaching staff and key contacts within schools.
- Ensuring all CITC and CFG policies and procedures are adhered to across the team, escalating any breaches as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum Level 2 Coaching Certificate in football and A-C GCSE or equivalent in maths and English. They should also have experience of working with children and young people or various groups within the community.

Financial Accountant
City has a vacancy within its finance department for a Financial Accountant
Duties within this role include:
- Working closely with the Financial Controller and Financial Accountant to ensure the audit is completed in an efficient manner and the financial statements are signed and filed in line with tight reporting deadlines.
- Assisting with external reporting to third party stakeholders including shareholders and lenders – including formal quarterly reporting and ad hoc requests.
- Providing technical accounting support for the wider finance team.
- Producing and implementing a group accounting manual which can be used by the group finance team and overseas subsidiary teams.
- Driving continuous improvement in group external reporting.
Candidates must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified as minimum and have excellent technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.

First Team Physical Performance Coach (MCWFC)
The club is looking for a Physical Performance Coach to deliver evidence informed physical performance support to its Women’s First Team. The successful candidate will become part of a five-person physical performance team, joining expert practitioners in strength and conditioning, performance science, female athlete health, and nutrition.
Duties within this role include:
Strength and Conditioning Programming and Coaching
- Responsible for the planning, delivery, and review of evidence informed strength and conditioning programmes that maximise individual physical development and group physical performance.
- Collaborate with injury management team to deliver strength and conditioning programmes that contribute to return to play and rehabilitation of long-term injuries.
Profiling and Monitoring of Physical Performance
- Plan, deliver, and feedback on evidence informed physical profiling systems that inform individual development plans, individual strength and conditioning programmes, rehab/return to play programmes, and ‘What it Takes to Win’ (WITTW).
- Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence informed monitoring systems that provide actionable insights to inform multidisciplinary team decision making and WITTW.
Recovery Intervention
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and evidence-based recovery protocols.
- Use athlete monitoring data collected to inform and individualise approach to recovery sessions.
The ideal candidate will have a BSc and a recognised postgraduate qualification in Sport Science, Strength & Conditioning or a related area. A UKSCA Accreditation or equivalent and a First Aid qualification is also essential.
They will also have significant experience working in an elite sporting environment, of working effectively within a high-performing multi-disciplinary team, and developing and delivering physical development programmes to achieve objective performance impact.

Head Of Product – Visitor Attraction and Conferences
City is looking for a new member of staff to head its Product department, providing lead support on the development of the strategic roadmap of the Visitor Attraction and Conferences products, including the Manchester City Stadium Tour and Conference and Events.
Duties within this role include:
- Develop and execute the overarching Product Strategy to continually grow and improve the Products in accordance with strategic, commercial and product development objectives and KPIs.
- Input into the longer term five-year strategic planning process, working with Data Analytics to present current insights and data conclusions to help shape and inform the longer-term view.
- Develop the pricing strategy for the products, considering optimisation of wider sales channels to identify and optimise commercial opportunities.
- Utilise fan and customer insight to inform strategic direction, development, product relevance and decision making.
- Define the target audiences to support the strategic growth of the product in order to drive continual growth.
- Support on product pricing based on market research, anticipated demand and associate costs.
- Ensure sequencing and cohesiveness across marketing strategy to drive optimum marketing mix and deliver against campaign KPIs.
- Manage budget of the product pillar.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in marketing or similar, or equivalent work experience in a relevant area, and strong analytical skills to interpret data to inform strategic planning. They will also have project management experience and experience of managing large budgets.
Experience of owning Product in a sports industry and developing and launching new products to market would be advantageous.

Technology Operations Analyst
There is an opportunity within City’s IT team for a Technology Operations Analyst to help implement, support, and maintain the club’s IT systems.
Duties within this role include:
- Software Licensing: Ensuring MCFC systems are licensed correctly – including Microsoft 365 and Adobe.
- System Administration: Managing user accounts – in particular starters – leavers and transfers.
- Hardware Management: Managing the supply of new hardware including laptops, mobile phones and consumables and ensuring devices are returned as close to the end of their lease date as possible.
- Contract Management: Liaising with the wider Technology team and Legal on contracts and renewals, ensuring that they are processed within the required timeframe.
- Purchase Management: Raise purchase orders for the IT team, getting approval from the heads of departments as required while liaising with Finance to ensure that purchase orders are raised in adequate time.
- Mobile Phone Contract Admin: Run regular reports on the mobile phone contract identifying excessive usage and use the reports to identify any devices that are underused, ensuring the club is operating in the most cost-effective manner.
The ideal candidate will have at least one years’ experience in an IT position and at least two years’ experience in an admin role. Knowledge of Service Management processes, of using an IT Service Management tool, and of contract renewals would be advantageous.

Marketing Graphic Designer
City’s Group Marketing is seeking a graphic designer to work alongside the Design team to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media.
Duties within this role include:
- Design and build graphics and templates for email campaigns, in line with best practice for the channel.
- Design and build paid and organic social media posts, display ads, banners and web content, with a focus on performance marketing campaigns.
- Turn creative concepts into build-ready emails, marketing banners and web page layouts, in line with brand guidelines.
- Work with commercial partners to interpret partnership email briefs and convert into broadcast-ready designs.
- Make recommendations for campaign ideas and design solutions in line with industry trends and best practice in design for email and other performance marketing and personalisation channels.
- Work with external agencies and developers to ensure graphic concepts can be effectively converted into HTML, in line with brand guidelines and channel requirements and to help grow the impact of personalisation across the Club’s marketing assets.
- Work with inter and intra-department colleagues to develop best practice guidelines and recommendations for high-impact design templates for performance and personalised marketing channels.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and have proven graphic design experience with a strong portfolio. Understanding of HTML and responsive design and a working knowledge of Figma would be advantageous.
This is a full-time role on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
