A man suspected of being linked to a terrorist has been released under investigation, the Met Police has confirmed.
The 44-year-old was arrested on suspicion of being a member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and on suspicion of supporting a terrorist group.
The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam was founded in 1972 in order to fight for an independent area for Hindu Tamils in Sri Lanka.
The group has been designated as a terrorist organisation under the Terrorism Act in the UK.
Met Police officers stopped the man when he arrived at Luton Aiport on July 13.
He was then detained and held in custody at Bedforshire police station.
The man was later released under investigation as police make further enquiries.
The investigation is being supported by colleagues from the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU).
