Man and toddler rushed to hospital after Falkirk crash leaves car flipped on roof

A man and toddler have been rushed to hospital after a crash in Falkirk which also left a car on its roof.

Emergency service s rushed to the incident on Falkirk Road in Bonnybridge at around 7pm last night following reports of a smash between a car and a van.

Dramatic pictures from the scene show a number of mercy crews at the scene and a car laying upside down.

A 38-year-old man and 2-year-old boy were later taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.

Police Scotland say that a 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences.

A spokesperson for the national force said: "Officers received a report of a crash involving a van and a car on Falkirk Road, Bonnybridge around 7pm on Thursday, 19 May, 2022.

"A 38-year-old man and a two-year-old boy were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital as a precaution.

"A 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with road traffic offences."
