M6, M53, M56, M57 and M58 will all partially close this week with drivers being warned to expect "severe delays".
Sections of the motorways will be partially closed this week for essential roadworks and National Highways has warned drivers to expect "severe disruption". This week (August 8 and 14) will see one weekend closure on the M6 southbound will be closed at junction 21A (Croft).
The M57 between junctions one (Tarbock Interchange) and three (Randles Farm) is still being closed overnight as part of a five month project after they tried to carry out repairs on potholes for two years. Despite attempts to repair the road, the carriageway continues to deteriorate with potholes and other issues forming regularly.

National Highways undertook an investigation and found a deeper and more extensive resurfacing was needed.
Here are all the motorway closures you can expect this week:
Monday, August 8
The M6 northbound will be closed between junctions 21 (Woolston) /21A (Croft) as well as junctions 23 (Haydock) and 24 (Ashton), between 10pm and 6am.
The M6 southbound will be closed between junctions 21A (Croft) and 20 (Lymm) between 9pm and 6am.
The M53 northbound will be closed between junctions one (Bidston Island) and two (Upton), as well as junctions eight (Rossmore Road) and ten (Stanlow Halt) between 8pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound will be closed between junctions one (Bidston Island) and five (Hooton), as well as junctions eight (Rossmore Road) and ten (Stanlow Halt) between 8pm and 6am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 14 (Hapsford) and 15 (Stoak) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 12 (Rocksavage) and 14 (Hapsford) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
The M57 southbound between junctions one (Tarbock) and four (Randles Farm) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
The M58 eastbound between the M57 and junction one (Maghull Lane) will be partially closed between 8pm and 6am.
Tuesday, August 9
The M6 northbound will be closed between junctions 20 (Croft) and 21 (Woolston) as well as junctions 23 (Haydock) and 24 (Ashton) between 10pm and 6am.
The M53 northbound will be closed between junctions one (Bidston Island) and two (Upton) as well as junctions four (Clatterbridge) and five (Hooton), and junctions eight (Rossmore Road) and ten (Stanlow Halt) between 8pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound will be closed between junctions eight (Rossmore Road) and ten (Stanlow Halt) between 8pm and 6am.
The M57 southbound between junctions one (Tarbock) and four (Randles Farm) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
Wednesday, August 10
The M6 northbound between junctions 20 (Croft) and 21 (Woolston) /21A (Croft) as well as junctions 23 (Haydock) and 24 (Ashton), between 10pm and 6am.
The M53 northbound will be closed between junctions four (Clatterbridge) and five (Hooton) between 8pm and 6am.
The M57 southbound between junctions one (Tarbock) and four (Randles Farm) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
Thursday, August 11
The M6 northbound will be closed between junctions 20 (Croft) and 21 (Woolston) as well as junctions 23 (Haydock) and 24 (Ashton) between 10pm and 6am.
The M53 northbound will be closed between junctions four (Clatterbridge) and five (Hooton) between 8pm and 6am.
The M57 southbound between junctions one (Tarbock) and four (Randles Farm) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
Friday, August 12
The M6 northbound will be closed between junctions 23 (Haydock) and 24 (Ashton) between 9pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound will be closed between junctions three (Heswall) and five (Hooton) as well as junctions eight (Rossmore Road) and ten (Stanlow Halt) between 8pm and 6am.
The M57 southbound between junctions one (Tarbock) and four (Randles Farm) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
Saturday. August 13
The M6 southbound will be closed at junction 21A (Croft) between 8pm and 6am.
Sunday, August 14
No planned closures
