Log flume coming to The Trafford Centre as giant fairground returns for Easter holidays

A huge fairground is returning to The Trafford Centre for the Easter holidays.

The popular Jungle River log flume will be back at the site, which has hosted previous events including last year's Summer Social and Spookfest. As well as vintage funfair with rides for kids of all ages, Spring Escape will feature live musicians, a variety of food and drink and a brand new show Roar! from Gandeys Circus inside the Big Top.

A spokesperson for The Trafford Centre said: "The vintage funfair will bring fun for everyone from tiny tots to thrill seekers including a log flume, Waveswinger, tea cups, bumper cars, hook a duck, a fun house, bungee trampolines and much, much more."

The event runs from Friday, April 1 to Sunday, April 24, outside The Orient and you can book for a time slot at either 12pm to 2pm, 2pm to 4pm, 4pm to 6pm, or 6pm to 9pm.

Entry to the fairground costs £3.30 and rides operate on a token system, costing £1 per token, and ranging from two to five tokens per ride. You can get 25 tokens for price of 20 by booking online.

Tickets for Roar, which features an international cast of over 30 artistes and live musicians, need to be booked separately and cost from £56 for a family of four. Tickets for the opening night, April 1, are available from £9.99.

It includes everything from 'Europe’s favourite clown' Maycon, to The Gerlings, who will not only be braving the heights of the Wire, but will be racing their motorbikes around inside an iron 'thunderdome' in the centre of the circus ring at 45 miles an hour and the g-force of a fighter jet.

The food and drink offering at Spring Escape will include treats from the popular Oh My Glaze, as well as more pop-up food including retro American candy giants Kingdom of Sweets.
