Merseyside has enjoyed a primarily sunny and dry Bank Holiday weekend and that trend is set to continue into the new week.
The Met Office reports that the region will enjoy plenty of more bright and sunny spells, with not much chance of rain. If there is a rain on the forecast, it will likely be a shower with no heavy rain expected in the coming days.
Today it will feel pleasant in the sunshine, with highs of 22C. Into the evening the odd light shower may appear but that will clear up before the morning.

On Tuesday, August 30, it will be largely dry, though cloudy at times. Sunny spells will make it feel warm, with more temperatures forecast at around 22C.
Forecasters say the mostly dry weather will continue until Friday, when there may be some longer spells of rain. Despite the increasing risk of showers, it will stay on the warm side.
Aidan McGivern , from the Met Office, said: “The Azores are a group of islands in the mid-Atlantic. Semi-Permanent high pressure sits here throughout much of the year. But what's been happening through this year so far and especially during the summer, is high pressure from the Azores keeps extending across the UK, hence the warm summer and the very dry summer that we've had. And that repeating pattern repeats again this weekend”
Although high pressure means it is likely to be largely dry with warm sunny spells, Aidan said that’s not the story for everywhere. He added: “There's also an area of low pressure which will likely bring some wetter weather for a time, later Saturday into Sunday to the northwest, mainly Northern Ireland, western Scotland, and then clearing from the far north of Scotland during Monday."
