Lewis Capaldi has been given the green light to build a swimming pool at his luxury farmhouse outside Glasgow.
East Renfrewshire Council have granted permission for the construction of a single-storey real extension to the £1.6m farmhouse, which the Someone You Love singer snapped up back in 2019.
The converted farmhouse already boasts five bedrooms, a luxury estate, stables, conservatory and accompanying private island but Lewis, 25, is very keen to put his own stamp on it.

Having already received permission to convert old stables into an exercise room and a gym, the fresh planning application - which was approved on April 21 - confirms his desire to build a 10m x 5m swimming pool in the back garden.
The extension will boast a home cinema, expanded master bedroom and new kitchen once completed, as well as stunning floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
A council document noted: "The proposal is to create a modern contemporary single storey rear extension to a residential property. It is considered to be acceptable in terms of design, scale and materials.'
"The proposal is not visible from the public road. In this context, the proposal has no impact upon the local street-scene."
