Ben Parker says Darko Gyabi has been in 'cruise control' for Leeds United under-21s and should be considered as an option for the first team.
Gyabi could see his opportunities in the first team increased with Tyler Adams set for a lengthy absence, with Javi Gracia confirming the American international had undergone surgery during his pre-Arsenal press conference on Thursday afternoon.
Leeds have senior options in the shape of Weston McKennie and Marc Roca, while Sam Greenwood could possibly fill the void. However, Adam Forshaw is currently out with injury, and former Whites defender Parker is excited by what Gyabi could provide the club in the future.

Parker told the LS11 Podcast: "He’s too good for the 21’s but the 21’s are in the second tier of PL2. He stands out. He has been in cruise control. That level, to Premier League football, fighting relegation, it is a different kettle of fish. Definitely one for the future.
“He’s going to be a great player for us. He’s an old-school midfielder, sits in and breaks it up but can bomb forward, range of passing. Would I start him now? No. Roca and McKennie are the two – but as an option, good to have him.”
