Raphinha starred in all-action performance for Brazil in the early hours of this morning as they beat Paraguay 4-0.
The winger opened the scoring in the first-half with an excellently taken goal as he received a long pass forwards from Marquinhos, ducked inside a defender and finished low into the near corner.
He had earlier had another goal ruled out after a five-minute VAR check which determined that he had handled the ball after it bounced up and brushed his arm as he dribbled through two players before sliding the ball into the far corner.
However, Leeds fans now face an anxious wait on his fitness as he was withdrawn in the 82nd minute following a heavy challenge that seemed to connect with his ankle.
Raphinha left the pitch on his feet, though he was limping fairly heavily which will be of concern to Leeds fans who have had to endure watching many of the club's stars struggling with injuries.
However, they should be heartened that the winger was forced off after a very similar challenge from Romain Saiss when the Whites drew 1-1 against Wolves earlier this season, only for him to start and score in the next game against Norwich City.
Brazil's other scorers included another Premier League star in Aston Villa's Coutinho as well as the Ajax winger Antony and Real Madrid's Rodrygo.
Newcastle's new signing Bruno Guimaraes came on in the 73rd minute of the game and provided the assist for the fourth goal.
