Law firm Harrison Clarke Rickerbys to open its first office in Wales

Legal firm Harrison Clarke Rickerbys (HCR) is investing in its first office in Wales.

On the back of increasing demand from clients in Wales, it will launch an office Cardiff next month.

Located by Cardiff Gate Business Park, it will have an initial team of 12.

The expanding £33.5m revenue firm, which employs 500 staff and partner, also has offices in Worcester, Cheltenham, Birmingham, Hereford, the Wye Valley, the Thames Valley, Cambridge and London.

Head of its new Cardiff office Hefin Archer-Williams said: “We’ve been working in Wales for years and the time has come to bring the team here – for us, it’s a brilliant move because it brings many of us back to our roots, and for our clients, it means that we are much nearer to them.

“Working across Wales, as we have done, will be much easier from Cardiff and we’re looking forward to expanding our practice further.”

The team's other partners  are Nicola McNeely, HCR’s head of technology and a former non-executive director of Business in Focus; regulatory experts Bryn Thomas and Aled Owen; Chris Mayers, employment specialist and mediator; Harriet Murray-Jones, real estate and energy expert; real estate finance specialist Clare Day, family lawyer James Grigg and wills, trusts and estates expert David King.
