Late NSW paramedic Steven Tougher’s daughter born

The widow of a slain NSW paramedic has given birth to the couple’s second child, weeks after the young father was stabbed to death in a car park.

Steven Tougher, 29, was attacked during his meal break outside a McDonald’s in south-west Sydney in mid-April.

He was the first paramedic to die on duty in NSW in three decades, and his death devastated his family, colleagues and heavily pregnant wife Madison Tougher.

On Thursday night, Ms Tougher revealed the couple’s second child – Lily-Mae Stevie Tougher – had been born in mid-May.

“Madison and Lily-Mae, and big brother Kobi, are doing well and the extended family is very excited,” the post by NSW Ambulance said.

“Madison reports her labour and birth were peaceful and calm, just like Steven’s personality.”

The family has asked for privacy.
