Lanarkshire road to close for four days for manhole survey

Coatbridge’s Woodside Street is closing for four days from next Tuesday, March 12, to allow for the completion of a manhole survey by Scottish Water.

The closure will be between Allan Street and the A89 Bank Street (when signposted) and the latter road, the B753 Dundyvan Road, the A725 Whifflet Street, School Street and Old Monkland Road will be available as diversions for drivers.

Meanwhile, motorists are warned that the B799 Lancaster Avenue in Chapelhall will be shutting for 10 hours from 8am on June 26.

This is for ironwork repairs and the road will close from Lammermuir Way to the A73 Bellside Road.

Alternative routes for motorists will include the A8 Glasgow and Edinburgh Road, the B799 Bo'ness Road and the A73 Bellside Road.
