A Lanarkshire company shared its vision for the "road to net zero" with the Scottish Secretary for Net Zero, Energy and Transport.
Michael Matheson MSP was invited to Autonomous iOt's Chapelhall base to hear about the firm’s journey so far, ambitions to scale up further and overreaching ambition to help organisations in Scotland, the UK and beyond achieve their net zero goals.
The Cabinet Secretary was offered a full tour of the research, development and manufacturing facility, given insight to products in development and introduced to everyone throughout the business, from experienced staff to newly qualified graduates.
Mr Matheson told Lanarkshire Live : “It was a pleasure to visit Autonomous iOt, to meet the team in their manufacturing base and to see first-hand their exciting net zero products which offers a wide range of economic and environmental benefits.
“There is great potential for companies across Scotland, such as Autonomous iOt, to engage and partner together, enabling them to reduce their carbon footprint and ultimately help us become a net zero nation.”
Autonomous iOt, founded in 2019, is committed to tackling climate change through the research, development and manufacturing of Intelligent Hybrid Technologies, powered by the sun and wind.
The company’s Intelligent Hybrid Technologies have already been purchased and installed throughout the UK by public sector housing authorities, councils and private sector companies each benefitting from carbon reduction and savings on previous costs.
Autonomous iOt CEO Bobby Kane, who hosted Mr Matheson's visit, said: “It was exciting to showcase our facility and portfolio to the Cabinet Secretary.
