An East Kilbrid e funeral directors has given a heartfelt thanks to the community for its support since opening its doors a year ago.
Fosters operate from the Village's Glebe Street and say they have seen the community spirit in the town first hand - particularly during the pandemic.
This has come from local people to the florists, clergy and celebrants that they work with.
A Scottish company, Fosters Funeral Directors have 26 funeral homes across the country.
Funeral arranger, Sarah Reilly, said: “It has been our privilege to serve local families and help them through the dark days following the loss of a loved one.
"My role is always to put the needs of the family first and to pay attention to all the little details that can bring great comfort to those who are grieving.”
“It’s essential to be a good listener, perhaps even more so during the pandemic when bereaved families couldn’t hug or have friends to visit. Not everyone has a family to lean on and that’s why we’re always here when you need us most.”
Sarah added: “East Kilbride is well known for its community spirit, and we have experienced such a warm welcome from local people, neighbouring businesses, and of course the florists, clergy and celebrants that we work so closely with.
"Grief impacts people in different ways and now that the restrictions are lifting a reminder that the kettle is always on should anyone want to pop in for a cuppa and a chat.”
The funeral directors have recently invested in a fleet of new limousines and hearses and their East Kilbride funeral home is a modern, comfortable space.
Fosters offer a range of services from direct cremations to personalised funerals and pre-paid funeral plans.
