Lanarkshire drivers warned of disruption as road set to close for five days

Kirkshaws Road in Coatbridge will be closed for five days next month.

The closure will run between Palacecraig Street and the A725 Whifflet Street from March 7 and is for carriageway resurfacing.

Drivers are advised that School Street, Old Monkland Road and the A725 Whifflet Street will be available as diversions.

Meanwhile, sewer repair works will see another Coatbridge road closing for 11 hours a day from February 25 until March 1.

The A725 Whifflet Street/Coatbank Street (southbound carriageway only) will be shut from Caldeen Road to the B753 Calder Street from 7pm to 6am; the latter two roads will act as alternative routes for motorists.
