With King Charles' coronation taking place on Saturday May 6, Eden Project Communities have adapted their The Big Lunch events, which began in 2009, to create a Coronation Big Lunch.
The aim of The Big Lunch events is to bring neighbours and communities together, so that they can share friendship and food. There is a simple signup process via the Eden Project Communities website here, where people can get a free pack delivered to their home and start to plan their event.
These free packs offer ideas, inspiration, top tips and practical things to help get a Big Lunch event started. If you don't want to organise an event yourself, then you can get involved with an event near you via the website, with over 50 events currently planned in the North East.

High-profile figures have been organising and taking part in these events, with the Archbishop of Canterbury hosting a Big Lunch at Westminster Abbey in London, and TV chef Ainsley Harriott knocking on doors in South-West London to get people involved in the events.
For any more information that you need to set up your own Big Lunch, or to help join in with one that is already planned, visit the Eden Project Communities website here. Millions of people previously took part in The Big Jubilee Lunch, celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of the late Queen.
The Eden Project Communities have released a statement on the aforementioned website, speaking of their excitement at being part of the celebrations.
"As events go, they don’t come much bigger than the crowning of a new monarch. We’re excited to be part of the official celebrations and we’d love for people across the UK (and the world) to hold a Coronation Big Lunch to celebrate."
