Wednesday, House Oversight Chair James Comer announced he would not seek a contempt of Congress charge against FBI Director Christopher Wray. The deal was reached after Wray said he’d let the entire House Oversight Committee see a redacted, confidential document about an unverified tip. The tip alleged then-Vice President Biden was involved in a bribery scheme with a foreign national. Monday, Comer and the committee’s Democratic vice chair were shown the redacted version of the form, but that wasn’t enough. Since Comer became chair in January, he's focused much of the committee’s efforts on what he’s referred to as the “Biden Crime Family.”
