This week marks the Queen's Platinum Jubilee — 70 years since Elizabeth II took to the throne in 1952.
In honour of the occasion, there is a four-day bank holiday weekend starting today (June 2) and running through to Sunday.
A number of official celebrations will be taking place up and down the UK throughout the long weekend — though notably not in Glasgow.

Because it is classified as a bank holiday, supermarkets will have slightly different opening and closing hours over the next couple of days.
As reported by the Daily Record, here is a rundown of supermarket opening times this Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend.
Tesco Jubilee opening hours
The majority of Tesco supermarkets in Scotland will operate their standard opening hours — usually 6am to 11pm.
However, some stores that usually stay open until midnight may close earlier and so customers are advised to check their local Tesco's opening hours using the company's store locator.
Aldi Jubilee opening hours
Aldi has revealed that its stores will continue to open throughout the weekend.
While the budget giant's normal hours are 8am to 10pm, these may differ slightly from store-to-store over the long weekend — with some closing up to two hours early.

Lidl Jubilee opening hours
Like Aldi, Lidl shops will continue to open across the bank holiday.
The chain also states that its stores will operate standard hours, which are usually 8am to 10pm.

While Asda opening times vary from store-to-store, the company has announced that they will all be operating their standard opening hours this weekend.
