The country is going through a severe bunting shortage as Brits decorate their homes and streets for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee .
Bunting, normally a string of flags or coloured fabric, is a traditional part of UK public celebrations - and those don't come much bigger than the Jubilee.
Street parties are set to take place up and down the UK, with 573 events listed near London alone on the four-day Bank Holiday from Thursday 2 to Sunday June 5.
As a result, bunting is in hot demand - so much so that most retailers have sold out completely.
In normal times bunting is a textbook example of 'cheap and cheerful', costing a few pounds at most for a 20ft stretch.
But the shortage has led some retailers to command huge price tags for the Jubilee necessity.
On eBay, some sellers are charging up to £1,000 for a string of bunting.
One seller is asking that price for a 20ft piece of plastic bunting featuring 12 flags with the Queen's face.
The seller has sold 30 of the items already at £1,000 a pop.
A similar bunting design looks like a bargain at £3.99 for a 12ft measure - but the delivery charge is £199.
Another eBayer is charging £1,000 for a 22ft strip of plastic bunting with 25 Union Flags.
To locate your nearest street party and for a more detailed view, you can head to the Platinum Jubilee's official site here, where you will find not only official lunches, but a whole host of other events to mark the occasion.
Each event will have its own places to park and how to get there, but it is recommended not to park along the street where it is taking place as it could become a safety hazard.
So far, there are 1,458 public events and 1,775 street parties or private events are set to officially go ahead, with even more informal ones happening in local communities.
