Janey Godley has created a hilarious Nicola Sturgeon voiceover in light of the First Minister resigning this morning.
At 11am on Wednesday, the First Minister held a press conference at Bute House in Edinburgh where she announced that she plans to leave the job she has held since 2014.
She said: "I am proud to stand here as the first female and longest serving incumbent of this office and I am very proud of what has been achieved in the years I’ve been blessed to do this.
"However, since the very first moment in the job, I have believed that part of serving well would be to know, almost instinctively, when the time is right, to make way for someone else.
"And when that time came, to have the courage to do so, even if to many across the country and in my party, might feel it too soon.
"In my head and in my heart I know that time is now. That it is right for me, for my party and for the country. And so today I am announcing my intention to step down as First Minister and leader of my party.”
However, Janey Godley's spoof version went a little like this...
"Well that's me resigned, least I never got sacked (haha Tories!) - somebody has drawn some f*****g balls on my bit of paper here...
"Anyhow, people have been saying, 'what are you going to do with your spare time noo Nicola?' - well I'll tell ye wit I'm gonna do...
"Know how you've seen 'Cruising with Jane McDonald?' Well I have decided to do caravaning with Nicola Sturgeon! It'll be brilliant! We will head all the high spots like Largs and Arbroath! I love a caravan."

She added: "I'm going to start budgie-ing, I don't like dugs so I'm just going to start breeding budgies - who knew that was a thing? And see if that doesn't work out I'm gonae start a wee soup pot business then we are gonna start on the Pippa D then me and aw the Sandras, aw the Deborah's and the big Catherines are gonny start a zumba group.
"At the end of the day, there's lots for me to be getting on wae, noo before I go everybody, I know you're aw desperate to dae it but I need ye to aw sign my leaver's shirt. Everybody get yer sharpies oot, brilliant that's me off - FRANK! Get the door!"
The Scots comedian became well known in lockdown for her voiceovers of the First Minister during the coronavirus daily briefings.
Janey actually went on to win Best Online Content at the Scottish Comedy Awards in 2020 for her First Minister videos.
