Ranvir Singh was quick to call out Dermot O'Leary as he struggled through a live link on ITV. The presenter has swapped the Good Morning Britain studio for Lorraine Kelly's seat as she fills in for the host on her self-titled show.
As usual, as Lorraine with Ranvir was edging closer to the end on Wednesday (June 1), she crossed over live to the This Morning studio where Dermot and co-host Alison Hammond were ready and waiting to reveal what was coming up on the daytime show today as they fill in for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby during the half-term break.
"I don't know if you've hear L'Ranvir, there's a Jubilee decoration shortage," Alison said as Ranvir pulled a shocked face. "I don't know if you know about it but don't worry, we have got you covered because our home genie Georgina Burnett wil be showing you how you can make your own royally good decorations," Alison, 47, added.
Dermot, 49, then took over to reveal that Phil Vickery will also be in the kitchen, whipping up a simple strawberry cheesecake and that Strictly Come Dancing stars Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice will also drop by for a chat with the hosting duo, as well as Britain's Got Talent's latest finalist Ben Nickless.
But as he finished his sentence, the former X Factor star couldn't quite get his words in the right order. "Join that... for a lot more live after the break," Dermot said while looking slightly confused at Alison who had already started to smile.
"Have you been on the fizz?" Ranvir then asked as Alison started to laugh out loud before the pair dropped their heads. "Celebrating a bit early are we, Dermot?" Ranvir then added as the red-faced TV star shrugged his shoulders as he kept quiet. "We'll find out if he's got his words in the right order later," Ranvir said with a cheeky smile before saying goodbye to Lorraine viewers.
Minutes later, following an ad break, it was time to head to This Morning. Dermot gave an energetic welcome to viewers before firing a compliment at his co-star. "You are looking fine today," the dad-of-one said as Alison stood beside him in a hot pink dress and tropical style kimono.
"Thank you," she replied. "You always look fine Dermot." But Dermot then cut in and said: "I think we should fess up to why we call Ranvir, L'Ranvir. It's not because she's a fan of France..." as Alison interjected: "I do quite like it though... it's stuck. So, it's Lorraine's show and I was about to say 'Lorraine' and saw Ranvir so it came out 'L'Ranvir' but I think it should stick."
"We just prefer it but it's not actually her name," Dermot added. "But if she's watching... can it be your name?" Alison commented; "We love you L'Ranvir," before cracking on with the midweek show.
