Love Island viewers flocked to Twitter to complain about 'disgusting' scenes as Islanders took part in their latest challenge called Lip Service. Fans were grossed out as they saw the boys guzzle a mouthful of ingredients before sliding across a dancefloor where they had to transfer it to the girls.
The girls then had to spit out the contents into a giant cocktail glass and the first couple to fill it won. As the ITV dating contest couples got up close and personal in the kissing game many fans were left unhappy after previously calling for mouth transfer challenges to be abolished.
@AnuBamgbose tweeted: "I thought they cancelled this BUTTERS challenge for goodness sake." @Harrysmaim asked: "Mouth to mouth challenge in a pandemic???" And @JustKamaraaa said: "Why does #LoveIsland continue to do these disgusting challenges we don't want to see this???"

@Islander2k22 asked: "Can this challenge not die?" @musataj_ tweeted: "I thought they got rid of this nasty ass challenge." @mxps_ wrote: "I detest these spitting challenges." And @ISuney said: "This is so gross."
Last month, days before series eight launched, executive producer Mike Spencer lifted the lid on what to expect this year and fans demanded that the food passing challenges were dropped. Last year the Spit the Roast task, which saw Islanders pass the contents of a Sunday roast to each other using their mouths, prompted a flood of complaints.
Roxygen1 asked: "Please can you stop making people spit food into each others mouths?" And Shambean2 asked: "Why the spitting food challenges I beg youse to stop, such a waste of food! I really think doing challenges with incentives or couple building activities would be so much better."
And Mike told them: "We are stepping away from the food challenges as we know them." greta_maya_storm replied: "Hi Mike, thanks for taking the time to answer some questions today! In regards to challenges, I'm happy to hear you're stepping away from food challenges because they're gross."
