Fans of Emmerdale left upset after ITV's announcer issued a warning to viewers at the start of the latest episode. On Monday's instalment, viewers saw the effects on both Marlon Dingle and his family following his serious stroke, resulting in him losing the use of his speech.
In scenes that aired last week, Marlon was hit with symptoms of a stroke as he saw his face seizing up in the mirror. He collapsed before being rushed to the hospital, Liverpool Echo reports.
After regaining consciousness, he was seen struggling to pronounce easy words. Prior to tonight's episode, the ITV announcer warned of 'scenes of distress views may find upsetting'.

Tina tweeted: "#Emmerdale Struggling to watch this now, Marlon's story is terrifying, brings it all home how fragile life is."
Matthew said: "Maybe one day we will get through an ep of #Emmerdale without scenes of distress announcement-Today isn't one of them #Marlon."
