Inside Glastonbury’s swanky campsite owned by MIC star Digby’s family

When you think about camping at Glastonbury you picture tiny pop up tents, sleeping bags and not much else.

However, there are campsites dotted around to offer a bit more luxury, one of which is owned by Made In Chelsea star Digby Edgley’s family.

Winding Lake offers its guests the chance to stay in luxurious camper vans, bell tents and Snoozeboxes – which are compact squares with solid sides.

Those staying have access to warm showers, electricity and clean loos – which are non-existent if you’re slumming it on the festival site.

The estate’s sprawling grounds have enough room for nearly 1,000 pitches where you can stay in the provided accommodation or rent a space and bring your own camper van.

Each accommodation also has a parking space alongside, so you can pack as much as you wish.

Staff at reception are on hand to greet you with your wristbands and take you to where you’re staying in swanky gold buggies, much like a 5 star resort.

If you’re easily starstruck this place isn’t for you as you will be rubbing shoulders with reality stars and musicians – some of Glasto’s acts use the grounds to land their helicopters before heading onto stage.

Digby and his MIC pal Julius Cowdrey also put a shift in behind the quaint bar.

However, Digby seems to do more than pulling pints as he explained to us it takes his family and Winding Lake’s staff around two months to “set up” but they use the entire year to “prepare”.

The Pyramid Stage is around a 15 minute walk away, but you also have the option to hop on a shuttle bus which pick up and drop off every 10 minutes from 10am to 4am. You may only be on the bus for 10 minutes but some have come equipped with energy drinks, water and wet wipes to buy.

Food and drink at Winding Lake is a plenty, too. With breakfast being served from 8.30am and a separate coffee tent if you’re not yet in the mood for food – tea is priced at £2.80 while a coffee is around £3.

Bacon rolls can be jazzed up by adding sausages, mushrooms with a side of hashbrowns which start £6 per bap.
You can grab a bite for dinner from 5pm until late with a different dish on offer depending on the day, from burgers and ‘posh dogs’ to pizzas and grilled cheese.

It’s not just food and drink on offer in the grounds as a hair and beauty salon by Powder Puff Girls has a tent pitched to offer hairstyling, makeup and more.

If your hangover has got the better of you and a Barrocca just won’t do, Effect Doctors is also offering out IV drips costing from £40 to £199.

If you want to book a stay at Winding Lake, you need to be quick as a guest told us they had to book their stay as they grabbed their Glasto ticket!
