Inside BAFTA TV 2022 eco goodie bag - Champagne Taittinger to a meal at The Savoy

BAFTA's much anticipated TV awards are back and - to the relief of the celebs attending the prestigious event - they're no longer digital.

Other than winning an award, one of the most eagerly awaited part of the ceremony is receiving its extravagant goodie bag, containing an assortment of lavish gifts that one could only dream of.

While it won't be able to match the Oscars' famous £110,000 swag bag - complete with butler service and £58 gold-flecked, chocolate-dipped pretzels - it's certainly not one to miss out on.

But since the BAFTAs went carbon neutral in 2020, what does that mean for its gift bag?

Instead, celebrities will be issued with a range of environmentally friendly gift cards for each of the premium partner brands of the event.

There will be gift cards given to each person attending the event to spend on brands such as Champagne Taittinger, Lancôme, S.Pellegrino, The Savoy, Villa Maria and Woodford Reserve.

The cards will be gifted to stars in a bespoke high-end cross-body phone bag created from 11 recycled plastic bottles.

Back in 2020, lucky attendees gave fans a peak inside their goodie bags when the ceremony went virtual, with all the stars watching from home.

Among the treats included a bottle of Taittinger Champagne, a bottle of white wine, a package of Kiko makeup, and a bottle of special San Pellegrino.

They also got a colouring book, a champagne stopper and some sweets.

In previous years, BAFTA TV Awards goody bags have included treats from fake tan and shampoo to posh chocolates, scented candles and Evian.

Killing Eve star Jodie Comer, who was nominated for the Leading Actress gong, shared her at-home look.

The actress shared a snap of herself posing in her garden clutching a glass of fizz as she prepared to host a BBQ.

She wrote: "Jodie wrote: "BAFTA is looking a little different this year...

"I’ve swapped the Royal Festival Hall for a BBQ in the back garden!! Shout out to the legend General Manager at Liverpool Parcelforce who hand delivered this beautiful @duroolowu dress to me this morning.

"After saying I was going to wear my pyjamas to this year’s BAFTAs I nearly got what I wished for!"
