Good morning… could you please discuss Microstrategy (MSTR) today? With a weekly gain already at 39% and premarket at +14% definitely seems like a parabolic behavior.	Yes, definitely feels climactic. Webby yesterday said to consider selling maybe 10-15% of shares to lock in gains. A downside reversal off highs, close below prior day's low, close below the 10-day and the 21-day can all be used as incremental levels to trim back when you see climactic action
Looks like the unreasonable expectations for NVDA have turned to mist and is drifting away!	strong stock. The selling never seemed too intense in after hours.
Look at NET on daily and weekly RS improving up/dow - earnings line strong - Projections good	It could work here but it's a little too messy for me and not a clear leader

GM all! Thoughts on ZETA since it has now moved over the 200 days MV?	Crazy damaged. When you get terrible down days like this one has had, the odds are it needs a ton of time for repair work. It's a pass for me
GM from Cape Cod, up early at 4 pm and the NASDAQ was down .95% and improved since then. NVDA was down 3% and then turned positive. All my stocks are gapping up except PLTR	Santa Claus rally in full effect.
FTNT lookinmg good	Holding up well despite lots of downside volume lately. We typically don't like to see higher volume declines followed up by lower volume gains. Could be in the early stages of forming a new base.

Do most investors remove a hedge position on the open in such a strong market, or is waiting 15-30 minutes a better strategy?	I typically like to wait for at least the first hour. Sometimes, it may be 15-30 mins if it's pretty clear the stock is holding gains

Can you please comment on META. Thank you	Team reviewed a bit ago — hitting some resistance at the 50-day. I would wait for it to get above that level before buying. Other stocks are stronger so I'm not in this one
Ken, on Leaderboard NVDA put order for leaderboard shares to sell do you have to exercise it or is it once it hits your strike price of $145 it gets executed? If the later did the leaderboard shares sell? TIA	It expires Friday so we'll likely be exiting with a small loss by selling the contracts. We paid a premium of $6.80, it's now trading around $1.30.
In PANW actionable?	Wild day so far just like for NVDA
Also, just returned from a 10 day trip to Buenoa Aires, Argentina and noticed that Milei (president) continued to have popular support and country risk in a strong downtrend dropping to 720 today do you think that Argentine stocks are still worth looking at given that price has already risen significantly?	We've looked at Argentine stocks in recent weeks and months — just like anything else, our preference is to go with proper buy spots vs. chasing extended moves. The exception is some of the highflying AI leaders, some of us are using aggressive entry points for those but managing risk with every trade as always

leaderboard said buy puts on nvda. would selling calls be better	Selling calls would also serve the purpose, but we like to target put options with a delta around 50, which basically means it has a 50-50 chance of finishing in the money.

massive massive short covering in SNOW - was the quarter that impressive? - who in god's name would be short that chart given its behavior the last few months?	Only 4% of the float is short.

APP	Very extended. In my view, as someone in the stock, it's a hold for those who own it. Too extended to buy at these levels
What should we do with Leaderboard's hedge for Nvidia?	We're going to let things settle down. Start thinking about a decision after the first hour of trading, if not sooner.
NVDA - you know you're in a bull market when a stock with everyone on one side of the boat disappoints badly with just a 1% revenue growth guide and it still goes higher.	We'll have to see where it closes for the day
GM IBD Live. Looking at the monthy chart for $XLE and seeing a base from 2008. $XLE made new 6 month highs yesterday. Do you think this is the start of a new secular uptrend for O&G stocks? Interesting how the strength in energy stocks is happening despite the massive underperformance from Crude Oil futures.	Definitely seeing money flowing to the energy sector in recent weeks.
What is your thinking re: CAVA - still on Swing Trader	I own it. DIsappointing reversal on earnings but I think it's a hold as long as it respects the 10-week line — even if it goes below that level a little to form a new base, I likely will hold due to my profit cushion

MDB set to gap up big and get above the 200D. Usually moves with TWLO. Must be news.	MDB is very beaten down. RS of 18. Would focus on software stocks with RS of 80 or higher
ALAB NH	Team discussed earlier, let's see where it closes today...
DFS	In process of forming new base, maybe a potential downtrend entry also brewing. It's a pass for me but has been strong recently
DDOG leapfrogged over BZ-sympathy with SNOW	Good to see it breaking out of this long base. I don't like the deceleration in earnings, but sales have remained pretty strong.
VST	Extended but looks great for those who own it
WFRD	Laggard with RS of 14. Would focus on the ones in uptrends or already turning and above 200-day w/ bases forming
when/ where could JEf be actionable	If this was a top AI stock, I would be inclined to say it's presenting a VERY aggressive buy spot here. But since it's a financial name, I'm not inclined to use those sorts of entries but maybe I'm missing out! Very risky here since it's so extended so I'm not doing anything with it.
Thoughts on IBIT and ETHA?	I own IBIT. It's very extended but I'm holding. Not in ETHA
Good Morning Ed and team: I know IBDL getting more and more into hedging discussions and options. Great education of course, but I am sure some of audience not option trading qualified or trading in accts where option trading not available. So I recall hearing in old webinars that Bill did not ever hedge with options, he just "hedged" by selling "some" heading into EPS if he decided he needed to. I think maybe that is a good educational tidbit to share and discuss with your audience. I have shared it with my IBD meetup group on various occassions. Bottom line, there is an option for hedging without using options so to speak. lol. And we can always buy it back if we sell some and eps reaction is good. what is the scott theory on getting out of NVDA - he always says he gets out too early - what about the rest of you - when / how would you get out of this stock or would you just hold with your cushions?	I am focused on the weekly chart and will be looking for support at the 10-week line and potentially holding through a base depending on how it acts — if it has a violent selloff, then that would likely spook me out. But it looks fine right now in my view.
NVDA What about buying for thoses that don't own it?	I own it full disclosure. I would wait. Perhaps if it gets back above 150 that could be a level to nibble…

Can we look at GEV today?	Reversal off 21-day maybe was a good aggressive entry in hindsight. Feels so extended here but it is no doubt one of the major leaders right now
When do you sell the hedge? Market open after the event? Later in the day?	It depends on how the stock acts. I'm not sure what leaderboard is doing with NVDA
SNOW is not pulling back this morning so far.	It hasn't been a leader so I am passing. I would like to see a base form now that it's above the 200-day

AXON broke new high	Glad LB increased it recently. We trimmed AXON ahead of earnings.
DELL has some nice tight action on daily chart and todays action as well. Looks like a good place to get it with 21ema not far below, just about 3.5%	Looks pretty good. Earnings next week.
SNOW had an RS of 15 Is that correct?	Yes, but that before today's big gain. It will be updated after the close and will likely be much higher.
Hi Ken and IBD Team, how about ZETA	Still looks like damaged goods, Carlos, even after four-session rally. Fundamentals seem compelling, but the chart is messy. Lord Abbett does own shares, which is a good sign, but that was one heckuva distribution week last week.
what do you think about EAT at this point?	Impressive run but need to wait for new entry. Almost 100% above its 200-day line.

Does Marketsurge have a dedicated sector to digital currency or bitcoin related business. Seems to be an area to focus on with the new administration's focus on creating a digital stable coin	We will in the future. We're reorganizing industry groups, butthat's a lengthy process.
Ed - why do you use 50% as a buy on a stock rising out of a pullback? thx!	We want the midpoint of the handle to be above the midpoint of the base. So I was doing rough and ready math to make sure that was the case. If the handle is above the midpoint of the base, there's less overhead resistance.
Sorry, it's my fault NVDA is down. I sold my hedge prematurely.	I did the same thing on CAVA.
AXON and NET holding up relatively well.	Both look great, especially as the market pulls back.
What moving averages do you guys use for the RS line?	Daily - 21 and 50, Weekly - 8 and 21, Monthly - 10 and 24
On The TSLA chart what do es the flag with a percentage in it mean? What are we suppossed to do?	The flag is the power from pivot flag. It tells you how much a stock ran up from a breakout if it runs up 20% or more in 2-3 weeks or less. Some may use this as a trigger for the 8-week hold rule, meaning if a stock has an explosive breakout, hold it for at least 8 weeks and give it room to work. But there are other rules that can trump the 8-week hold rule — like if you have a double-digit gain that gets erased. We don't like double-digit gains to turn into a loss. Disclosure I own TSLA

is there no concern for the insane intraday moves over the past two days? IWM and QQQ have moved at least 0.8% up and down at least 8 times over the last couple of days	Lots of volatility. Upside reversals are good, but a downside reversal not so good. We'll have to see where we close…
MSTR - what a shock	Yes, we were saying yesterday to trim. Another sell signal is a downside reversal off highs which it is definitely on pace to do today.
Ali - Agree on GEV, ANET also looks very strong today!	Good to see it getting back above the 50-day

Y'know...to help combat the issue of people's questions not being responded to, there COULD be a way to use AI to help analyze unanswered questions in the Q/A window. For example, to set it up to look for commonalities. For example, if you have >10 unanswered questions with the same ticker symbol. Or maybe if you have a certain number of unanswered questions that contain similar keywords, such as ATR, or "hedge". No, this wouldn't help you directly answer more questions, but between the hosts and the dark ops team, maybe once every 15-30 minutes, somebody could dump the QA comments into an AI engine and have it do a quick analysis and look for commonalities. It's just an idea. I know you all have your hands full with hundreds (or maybe thousands?) of comments and questions every day, so I TOTALLY get your predicament.	As of now Zoom doesn't have a way for us to export the queries until after the show is over. So it's a limitation with Zoom. But thank you for the suggestion! Maybe one day.
Does IBD remove ststements from Q&A that you don't like?	We try to answer as many questions as we can! We have over 260 unanswered submissions and don't even have time to read all of them. We have thousands of participants and only a very small handful of us answering questions each day

Ali, Great, thank you, BTW I was interetd in your cpommentyou made regharding how you move from the daily chart to the weekly as your position matures, did I get that right? If correct, at some point explain that approach with more detail. Thnaks so much.	Yes, you did hear correctly! I'll have to talk about it. But I love the perspective that a weekly chart gives me, especially on a down day. If my stock is still holding the 10-week, then I don't need to worry about a down day. Using the 10-week line to keep me in trades and also now with larger cushions even experimenting with seeing what that second week looks like after a close below the 10-week to see if it can recover (this is something that Kathy Donnelly has talked about).
Is the "IBD Watch List" (per Justin) the same as the IBD 50 ?	It's different! IBD 50 is a computer-generated list. The IBD Live watch list is curated by Webby
