Feet can come in many shapes and sizes and it's not always easy to accept what we were born with. One woman, who has struggled with her long toes for a long time, decided to take matters into her own hands.
You've heard of Brazilian butt lifts and tummy tucks, but did you know you could have cosmetic surgery to shorten your toes? Business owner Athena, who regularly posts content on her @goddessatheenaa TikTok account, shared the journey with her followers.
Athena, who is the CEO of women's clothing brand My Passerella, said she hated her long toes so much she decided to have cosmetic surgery to shorten them.
Showing off the before and after pictures on her TikTok account, she also said that "cosmetic surgery the new BBL [Brazilian butt lift], and thanked the surgeon for "making my feet pretty".
In the video, the surgeon can be revealing her new toes, which look much smaller and straighter too.
Athena said it as the surgery, which she revealed is priced from $2,500 (£2,500), was the "best decision" she's made in her life and was so thankful "there's a solution now".
In another video she said: "My toes were a big insecurity for me for as long as I could remember. So I decided to gift myself this Christmas some new toes. I'm so happy with the results. Best decision I could have taken."
After revealing the results, many social media users were complimentary, with one person saying: "Looks so much better," and Athena replied: "Right!!! I agree."
Another said: "They look soo much better," and a third adding: "This is amazing. I would love this."
One person commented: "Wow, they were literally bigger than his head before too, incredibly result," to which Athena replied: "Thank you."
Someone else asking wether it meant her shoes were a smaller size now, to which Athena answered: "Yea I went from a 6 to a 5.5."
But Athena's decision to shorten her toes did spark some controversy in the comments, and not everyone was complimentary.
One person said she now had "gremlin feet" but Athena addressed her 'trolls' in a separate video where she embraced her 'gremlin feet'.
Showing a video, four weeks post toe shortening surgery, where she's wearing sliders for the first time, she said: "To all these internet trolls: Who got gremlin feet now, sweetie?"
