A large fire and rescue operation was carried out overnight after reports of a fire in a house.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended a house on Millersdale, Clock Face following reports of a fire. Fire crews from six engines and a search and rescue appliance arrived at the scene at around 12.48am where they found a mid-terraced property "well alight".
Firefighters were committed under rapid deployment to prevent the fire escalating and affecting neighbouring properties. The incident was sectorised, and fire crews battled the fire externally with a high pressure hose reel jet in sector one.
