Hotel Chocolat release joke product for April Fools but shoppers say they need it

April Fool's Day is today as many of us know - and because of this, everyone is a little more wary about the news they see online.

Hotel Chocolat are well known for their chocolate sweets as well as their hot chocolate - namely the Velvetiser which is said to "deliver luxurious cloud-like chocolate velvet" and a product that everyone raves about.

But today the chain announced another product in their latest product - Maple Bacon Hot Chocolate - and it seems it could be yet another thing to rave over.

Taking to Instagram they captioned their post: "Limited edition and just in time for April, you’d be a fool to miss out on our brand new Maple Bacon hot chocolate. A little bit sweet, a little bit salty, and 100% delicious.

"What do you think, will you be trying this one out?"

Many people began responding to the retailer - and it seems many of them are actually up for trying it.

One said: "I mean I know this is a joke but uhhh, I’m well up for trying this!"

Another added: "Seriously make this it would sell very well."
