A new "wonder of the world" may have been discovered just outside Merseyside.
People have flooded Tripadvisor with rave reviews about a big pipe behind the Asda in Skelmersdale. A large water pipe that trails behind the supermarket has been compared to the likes of the Taj Mahal and Petra in a bizarre turn of events.
According to Google reviews, the town sat on the border of Merseyside and Lancashire has seen people flock to look at the concrete wonder. Visitors have flooded the reviews of both Google and TripAdvisor with five-star reviews of the "girthy" pipe.

People might assume there is something unique or special about the pipe, but it appears to be just a rather large metal apparatus that simply transports water from one side of the Tawd river to another. The pipe has lived in the same spot for years but in 2020 an online forum was set up on Reddit where people have been attracted to the unlikely landmark, reports LancsLive.
Now, tourists and locals can search The Big Pipe and be pointed to its exact location on Google Maps. It can be found behind the Asda supermarket on Ingram, and near to the West Lancashire College campus.
One of the most recent reviews was written by AmyIsIconic, who said: "Never been the same since I went here, had a spiritual awakening as I witnessed the big pipe for the first time. Would recommend to any tourists looking for a good time, I don’t understand why it isn’t considered one of the seven wonders of the earth."
Richard Lane travelled miles to see the pipe and wrote: "Fantastic landmark! We travelled from the Midlands for our kids to experience the big pipe. It was everything we dreamed of. Although it had been allowed to become overgrown, obscuring its full majesty. Skem Council should invest in the jewel in its crown."
Antony Walmsley detailed exactly how he was able to find the pipe. He said: "Had some difficulty finding this at first. Thanks to the graffiti, litter and abandoned shopping trolleys, it completely blended in with the rest of Skelmersdale. Fortunately, a friendly gentlemen lurking in the bushes pointed me in the right direction and, I have to say, I wasn't disappointed."
David Lynskey explained how he used to visit the pipe in his youth and added: "I spent many a day at The Big Pipe when I was younger, seeing how far out we could go before we got scared and turned back, the rush when you cross The Big Pipe for the first time, the horror when you fall off and you think "This is how it ends!" good times. The Big Pipe is a great family day out!"
