HCL Tech's gift to investors; third interim dividend of ₹10 per share, fixes record date

As per the regulatory filing, HCL Tech's board of directors have declared a third interim dividend of 10 per equity share having a face value of 2 each of the Company for the Financial Year 2022-23.

It added, "The Record date of October 20, 2022, fixed for the payment of the aforesaid interim dividend has been confirmed by the Board of Directors. The Payment date of the said interim dividend shall be November 2, 2022"

Taking into consideration the third interim dividend, HCL Tech has now announced a total dividend of 38 per share so far in FY23.

Currently, HCL Tech's dividend yield is around 4%.

For the current financial year, HCL Tech has already paid the first interim of 18 per share in April, while the second interim dividend of 10 per share was paid in April this year. The total percentage of these two dividends is 1400% or 28 per share.

In the previous financial year FY22, the company paid an equity dividend of a whopping 2,100% to 42 per share. The dividend aggregated to a massive 11,392 crore.

In the second quarter of FY23, HCL Tech garnered a consolidated net profit of 3,489 crore up by 6% from 3,259 crore in the same period last year (Q2FY22). Consolidated revenue stood at 24,686 crore up by 19.5% yoy and 5.2% qoq.

In constant currency, the company's revenue growth came in at 15.8% yoy and 3.8% qoq. In dollar terms, HCL Tech's revenue stood at $3,082 million higher by 10.4% yoy and 1.9% qoq.

HCL Tech expects services revenues to be 16%–17% YoY in Constant Currency for FY23, while revenue guidance increased to 13.5%–14.5% YoY in Constant Currency. EBIT margin guidance has been revised to 18%–19% for the current fiscal.

HCL Tech CEO and Managing Director C Vijaykumar said, "Our bookings and pipeline continue to be very strong, that augurs well for our future growth. These reflect our constant and continuing efforts to supercharge outcomes for all our stakeholders. Our new brand positioning of Supercharging Progress has been well received and I am confident will help us deliver on our strategic priorities."

On BSE, HCL Tech shares closed at 951.65 apiece higher by 1.39%. The company's market cap is around 2,58,245.94 crore.
