Harley-Davidson recently unveiled its lineup of high-end Custom Vehicle Operation (CVO) models for the year 2024. This collection includes three stunning motorcycles, with two being light touring machines in the popular 'bagger' sub-category of touring bikes. However, the third model is a surprising addition to the CVO tradition.
Let's start with the 2024 CVO Street Glide. Priced at $44,499, this light tourer retains most of its features from the previous year. It boasts a fork-mounted windscreen, hard saddlebags, and a powerful 121-cubic inch Milwaukie-Eight V-Twin engine that generates an impressive 115 horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque. What sets the 2024 edition apart is its 12.3-inch TFT color touch screen, replacing traditional instrumentation and offering GPS maps. Riders can select from various ride modes, including Road, Sport, Rain, and Custom, which adjust engine and braking behavior to suit different conditions. The updated fairing includes LED accent strips, a 200-Watt audio system, a Daymaker LED headlight system, cruise control, anti-lock brakes, traction control, an upgraded seat, and two striking color options.
Next up is the 2024 CVO Road Glide ST, priced at $42,999. While it returns from the previous year, this model has undergone enhancements inspired by Harley-Davidson's participation in the King of the Baggers racing competition. The CVO Road Glide ST features a menacing glossy grey/black appearance and receives a higher-output version of the 121 cubic inch V-Twin, delivering an impressive 127 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. With fully adjustable Showa suspension, revised final drive gearing, lightweight aluminum cast wheels, high-performance Brembo calipers, and racing-style 'wave' brake rotors, this bike is designed for thrilling rides. It also offers cruise control, cornering ABS, traction control, a slipper clutch, and saddlebags with ample storage capacity.
The most surprising addition to the CVO lineup is the 2024 CVO Pan America. Unlike other CVO models that receive special paint and chrome enhancements, the Pan America adopts a more adventurous persona with rugged hard parts. Priced at $28,400, it is essentially a turn-key adventure machine suitable for off-road riding. Though it received a distinctive orange and black paint scheme and some stylistic touches, the Pan America retains its 150-horsepower liquid-cooled 1,252cc Revolution Max V-Twin engine with no additional performance tweaks. This bike comes equipped with numerous factory-installed accessories, including CVO-badged aluminum panniers, a quick-shifter, crash bars, adaptive LED headlights, an Adaptive Ride Height system, optional spoked wheels, a protective bash plate, and powerful LED spot/flood lights. It also features a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, anti-lock brakes, ride modes, cruise control, traction control, and Brembo brakes.
The availability of these CVO models is still under wraps, but they are expected to hit Harley-Davidson dealer showrooms soon. Keep an eye out for these limited-edition motorcycles if you're seeking high-performance, luxury, and unique styling in your next ride. Harley-Davidson continues to impress with its commitment to offering a range of options, ensuring riders can find a motorcycle that perfectly suits their desires and preferences.
